Tim Cook is an American business executive and the CEO of Apple Inc. The base salary of Apple chief executive was increased by almost 43% in February last year.
Mr Cook’s salary rose to $2m (£1.3m) from $1.4m, and his total remuneration more than doubled to $9.2m in 2014. The increase was the first since November 2011.
We can see in the annual report from Apple Inc that “After reviewing peer company market data and evaluating the mix of executive officers’ cash and equity compensation, the Compensation Committee increased each executive officer’s base salary in 2014.”
The Compensation Committee increased Mr. Cook’s base salary from $1.4 million to $2 million and the base salaries of the other executive officers from $875,000 to $1 million.
Apple CEO Tim Cook is not yet a billionaire, but he’s well on his way. He doesn’t yet appear on either the Forbes or Bloomberg billionaire lists. But he may be there soon.
